We are the only professional and specialised organisation for the kitchen and bathroom industry in New Zealand. Established in April 1982, the association currently has over 450 members and is growing.

Why should I join the NKBA?
Education and Certification
Our industry is constantly changing and evolving and it can be difficult to stay on the cutting edge and keep a close eye on innovations and trends.
Learning should never stop, so that’s why we offer continuing education across New Zealand, in conjunction with the BCITO (Building Construction Industry Training Organisation).
NKBA offer the National Diploma in Design (Level 5) with strands in Kitchen Design, and Bathroom Design (Level 5).
NKBA also acknowledges Certified Kitchen Designer (CKDNZ) or Certified Bathroom Designer (CBDNZ) qualifications. All NKBA training is recognised by the national qualifications framework.

In addition to standard listings, there are showcase opportunities to feature design projects, products and publish article of interest.
